WHEN  PLASTIC WAS KING

Long before garage kits and artists "new" creations, Aurora model company was King of the plastic hobby kits.

Aurora corp was born in 1950. It's first plastic model was a Grumann F9F Jet in 1952.  It sold for 69 cents.  In 1959 model cars were introduced.  Then in 1961 the monster model kit was born.  Our allowances would never be the same.

This years theme is a tribute to those glory days of the plastic horror models.  I have taken some liberties with the designs, however trying to keep as close to the originals as possible.
